Calming down on hiking obviously means there hasn't been any posts recently but since my last post however long ago I have moved about 10 hours away from where I was originally staying and that is to complete the dreaded farm work that I need to stay in Australia for a second year. I mean honestly I haven't been dreading it I was worried about finding a job that paid well enough to do some serious saving so I can travel next year but I certainly wasn't going to fruit pick for the chance of a second year here because it just wouldn't be worth it. The thing about being a backpacker in Australia is that you have to be super clued up on all the rules and regulations to not get ripped off or exploited or to have worked for months in a bad situation only to find out your work doesn't count. Luckily both sets of employers I have chosen to apply for a job with have been great and it certainly has put both mine and my parents minds at rest that my choices have been some of the best employers you can find. 

Anyway on to the actual update I am currently in a very middle of nowhere, centre of everywhere town called Louth, New South Wales a very rural outback Australian place to be with the nearest place to spend money being a 3 hour round trip it is certainly helping me to save for my surprise trip home. I am on a cattle and sheep station called Delta, being out here is certainly a change from living on the coast and the grass is definitely not greener because due to the drought Australia is currently experiencing we have no grass at all, although with a few light showers over the last three weeks it's certainly trying to poke its head through the ground. 

Over the very short time I've been here I have certainly seen a selection of Australian wildlife and I'm sure I will see many more over the rest of my time here, but I have also been thrown in at the deep end with how such little things can change the condition of livestock, it has been a rough few weeks with the loss of livestock and there being no real reason for it to have happened but it is certainly eye opening. 

And now photo time don't worry any graphic or upsetting photos have been left out as to not upset, annoy, anger or offend anyone and I certainly don't want a debate on the comments of this from people who don't see what goes on behind the scenes, behind the photos the things that are actually happening across the pond or in their own backyards.
