Two weeks worth of hikes to update on last week was Mount Keira it was very wet when I started but that only added to the beauty of what felt like a rainforest walk.

I'm usually full of words when it comes to my blog posts (even if there has only been a few) but the last few weeks I've been searching for words to describe what's been going on since I've been in Australia apart from all the obvious hiking and just general exploring  but mentally there's been a lot of changes, I just haven't quite found the words to describe what was going on and how much better I am doing now, because I do think it is important to realise that I am doing better now how only 6 months of being by myself to an extent I have come to terms with what was happening and I'm thriving on my own now.

a bit of self reflection has really helped me settle into who I am and not be afraid of being myself

this hike was one of the less pretty ones I have done so far there wasn't very many flowers or any waterfalls or pools but getting out of the house and into nature is definitely one of the things that has added to the recovery side of my trip over here this day was about 6km just on the hike without added walking after so I am definitely getting healthier and its getting easier.

The drive to this hike was what I would call stereotypical Australia wide open fields with horses and cattle and koala signs everywhere which definitely excited me for my hike

this pool was honestly one of the best most chilled out places to eat my lunch I have found yet

the cultural significance added to the sense of calm I felt I think its such a beautiful sight and these pictures don't do it any justice

Dharawal I will be looking back into you as a hike spot for sure when I have my proper lens for my camera

Monday hikes are getting to be a habit but I also wanted to switch it up a bit today so followed my hike up with a swim, this swim led me to the conclusion that if I'm not a mermaid because my tail is still very much missing I am most definitely a siren, my swimming alone led a young couple into the icy depths of what I would say is probably 5 degree ocean water. Team this with telling others who asked that the water was lovely I managed to tempt 3 other Australians to jump in all who immediately jumped back out while muttering what I can only assume was profanities followed by calling me crazy and running far away.

but because I do not have a personal photographer and I didn't want to look to self obsessed i regretfully do not have any bikini pictures to share which for once I'm upset about because my frikkin awesome boss gave me an amazing bikini which made me feel big headed even if I probably looked like a troll haired potato.

Luckily for you awesome blog reader I took lots of photos on my hike which I've condensed down to what I feel are the best ones taken today.
If you have read some of my other posts on here granted there is not very many you will see that a few weeks ago I attempted the Wodi Wodi track at Stanwell Park I got rather far did about 8 or 9 kilometres that day and almost died many times during that walk because I am generally really unfit and I can tell you that today although the hike is much shorter and I have been doing alot of walking over the last few weeks I am still just as unfit now as I was then. I returned to Stanwell Park today to take on the other walking track that was signposted the Forest walk the  walk I did last time was the Stanwell tops one and I can tell you now it doesn't take you to Stanwell tops and it is only an 800m walk if you are a literal giant.
After last times experience I definitely took the signage of 2Ks with not just a pinch of salt but the whole bag the signs here are not known for there accuracy from what I have found but this time it was pretty close to the mark I think I managed about 3Ks going up but that's not all to bad and I managed to explore a lot of the forest in a rather short space of time meaning I got photos I'm happy with and didn't miss out on my planned swim after.

like I mentioned in my Kelly falls post I seem to be attracted to bodies of water and waterfalls no matter the size of them something calming about sitting listening to the water whether it's the trickle of a small waterfall or the crashing of the oceans waves.

I'm going to put it out there that while I'm not completely happy with how the waterfall shots came out this is yet again caught on a phone camera nothing professional and some of these were taken in a rather awkward manner as to not fall and get my shoes wet but the bubble photos are probably the ones I leave today most happy with.

if you're still reading fair play to you sometimes even I think I babble on to much in my blogs but I would also like to think that what I am sharing can be appreciated even if you are only looking at the pictures.
Until next hike tah tah for now
